Silk of Siam has moved to a new location and name (just half a block west on Lancaster Ave). [DK, 8/31/96]

Considered one of the good Thai restaurants in the area. A BYOB place with an excellent selection of dishes (including vegetarian) located next door to Marita's Cantina.

A decent place, and their wonton soup (I don't remember exactly what it's called, but basically it's wonton soup) is something else. Lots of good spices -- fresh ginger, garlic, etc. Also, they have a really good selection of vegetarian dishes, including a vegetable curry and stir-fried noodles with broccoli in a dark sauce (again, its exact name eludes me. It sounds boring, but it's one of the better things I've eaten there), both of which are worth trying. Some of my friends from the area swear by Thai Pepper over Silk of Siam, but I don't really know why. [RS, BMC96, 4/6/96]

We are leaving the comments above since they are about the same establishment, despite the name and location change.

Better than Thai Pepper, but sometimes only incrementally so. Their homemade tofu noodles are EXCELLENT--you _must_ try it! However, their fish dishes were so bland, I thought I was at Bennigan's, Houlihan's... you know what I mean. [VK (BMC 98), 3/20/98]
